The series follows Sakimori Kagami, who has been playing the online video game Arch Earth Online for a long time as the character Dunbalf, an old male sorcerer who is one of the game's nine great sages. An anime television series adaptation by Studio A-Cat will premiere in January 2022.
Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. A manga adaptation by Dicca Suemitsu began serialization online via Micro Magazine's Comic Ride website in July 2016, which has been compiled into seven tankōbon volumes as of October 30, 2020. Fourteen volumes have been published as of November 30, 2020. Micro Magazine later acquired the series, which began releasing it in print in June 2014 under their GC Novels imprint. The player, after making the appropriate choices, will be able to pair up the protagonist with one of the characters he will meet. Might will then go on a quest to find out what has happened to his beloved Adonis, meeting a rather wide range of handsome characters – each one with a peculiar personality – who will either join him in his quest or become an obstacle to it.
